This article shows you how to install MADRIX 5 software. System requirements: Please ensure that your PC meets the system requirements. Note: Do not plug any MADRIX hardware into the computer before installing MADRIX software!
1. Download the MADRIX software from www.madrix.com, or connect the MADRIX USB memory stick to the PC. 2. If you use MADRIX USB memory stick, please open "Windows Explorer", you will find a USB flash drive named MADRIX. Please double-click MADRIX_64Bit_Install.exe. Or, navigate to the download directory where MADRIX is located, and double-click MADRIX_FULL_INSTALL.exe 3. The installer's "Select Language" dialog box will open. In this dialog box, you can select the language during the installation process. 4. A welcome window appears. Click Next>, then the license agreement window appears. After reading, click "I agree". Otherwise, you will not be able to install MADRIX. 5. Now you can see the "Select Components" window. In this step, you can select the components to be installed: • MADRIX: Always install MADRIX. • MADRIX KEY: The driver always needs to install the MADRIX KEY driver. • MADRIX interface driver: It is always necessary to install the MADRIX interface driver. It includes drivers for MADRIX USBone, MADRIX NEO, MADRIX PLEXUS and MADRIX LUNA interfaces. • MADRIX KEY firmware: Install the latest MADRIX KEY firmware. • Desktop shortcut: Create a shortcut of MADRIX software on the Windows desktop. • Quick start shortcut: Create a shortcut for MADRIX software in the Windows toolbar. • Examples: Install some installation examples, including MADRIX effects, scripts, and color tables. Interface driver: select this option if you want to use MADRIX software with a supported third-party DMX interface. If you only want to use MADRIX software with the MADRIX interface, or only use MADRIX with the DVI output, this option is not required. • WinPcap driver: If you want to control EuroLite T9 (such as LSD screen) or 5A or CoulorSmart Link, please select this option. 6. Now, you can choose the installation location. Click Browse and select the desired destination folder. After that, click Install and the installation process begins. This will take a few minutes. After the installation is complete, click Next>. 7.1. If you want to use MADRIX 5 in demo mode, you can click "Finish" and then MADRIX 5 will start. 7.2. When installing MADRIX 5 on your PC for the first time, you already have a MADRIX 5 key, please disable the "Run MADRIX 5.X" check box, and then click "Finish". 8. If you are using the connected MADRIX 5 KEY to start MADRIX 5 for the first time, make sure that MADRIX 5 KEY is used with the latest MADRIX KEY firmware. Please connect MADRIX 5 KEY to the PC, and wait for the installation of MADRIX 5 KEY driver. Next, start MADRIX 5, and then go to Help> MADRIX KEY> Update MADRIX KEY firmware. 9. Please wait until the update process is complete. 10. If the license of MADRIX KEY is not activated, you need to activate it first.
